Joner 88 Store looks like this ! |
The small but one of the most visited place in Melaka is not just a cafe – it’s a small museum with great atmosphere, the great variety of food, affordable prices and good service. Jonker 88 is known to serve the best Chendol in Malacca Jonker Walk.
Jonker 88 doesn’t just serve chendol. It’s a shop house with 4 small stalls that line the inside of the shop house selling a variety of food. There was a food stall that served laksa and curry chicken rice. Out of all stalls we choosed Laksa and Chendol !
Left Baba Laksa Right Nyonya Laksa |
Left Baba laksa and Right Nyonya laksa. Or in more common vernacular, curry laksa and assam laksa. Its just something to share, well its a highly enjoyed baba laksa and was impressed by the the large piece of chicken in ourbowl. We also like the pungent sour and spicy flavour of my soup, and liked the chew of my thick noodles (a bit like sweet potato flour noodles).
The best selling dessert here is Chendol ! |
The famous Jonker 88 chendol covered with gula melaka which lends a burnt sugar flavour to a local dessert.
Rating for this stall is 8/10 ! Food is a little bit too pricey but its worth a try !
