Awesome Canteen

If you think you are Awesome do come and visit Awesome Canteen. Awesome canteen is a halal place to eat where they didn’t serves pork and alcohol. This place is started by a group of awesome people from a design agency in Kuala Lumpur. Other than the people, the furniture they use here are mostly recycled materials and a lot of old and classic stuff used to decorate the place.

Their awesome Paleo Beef Burgers which made from fresh meat and served with fresh vegetables and poppy seed bun. Furthermore, their Sambal Chicken Burger also quite popular (with lettuce, tomato served with home-made sambal sauce, and deep fried ikan bilis with poppy seed bun).

Both burger are awesomely good. Not only burgers, Awesome Canteen also served sandwiches, fast food, brunch and Asian Fusion kind of food.

Gossip Corner @Cameron Highlands

Gossip corner is a restaurant which mainly serves Western and Chinese food. What really stand out from Gossip Corner is the service. Even though there weren’t many waiters, they were actually very attentive and accommodating.

Another thing which is interesting about Gossip Corner is their Burger Challenge. This is basically a time challenge to see who is the fastest one to finish their Burger.

If you are a pork lover, The Hungry Hog is the place. The Hungry Hog is basically a non-halal restaurant that serves fusion of porcine dishes. The differences is that everything they served is homemade, simple and honest.

Their speciality is the ‘3 Little Pig’, which is a pork burger with cheese, caramelised onions and bacon. The portion of the food here is a bit big for a small eater and the taste was fantastic. Even though the portion is big, the prices they set are still reasonable and the students around that area are surely pleased about this establishment.

Fat Boy Popiah Melaka

Almost forgot about this post, it was a random walk along melaka famous street Bunga raya. We bumped in to this stall, queued up with approximately 20 people ! With no doubt we get into line and took us almost 1 hour under the hot sun just for it ! Well its all worth it we would say. Its known as fat boy popiah because the boss itself is big in size. Haha what a name .

Its just so satisfying after we finish up in only 5 minute ! The popiah is so different from any popiah out there in Malaysia. Its juicy, the skin is not soaking wet , the texture of the 

vegetables its fresh . We are rating this Fat Boy Popiah 9/10 !

Gold Chilli in SS15 Subang ! Well its another insanely packed dinner restaurant. Its known as their Butter menu. Basically its a creamy based mixture of butter sugar and some kick of spiciness. We cant deny this restaurant crowd is packed on daily basis and affordable.

We tried their combo meals which included white rice, teh O and a bowl of soup of the day. Well this store is affordable and has the best butter chicken in Subang Jaya.

Wok & Pan (Western Cuisine)

Back in a western cuisine, a cheap and affordable western cuisine in Melaka. Well this chef were known as a top chef in Hotel Equitorial Melaka and resigned to open up this low cost western restaurant. Setup of this shop is simple and feels welcome all the time. Its packed on a Malaysia day as its Malaysia public holiday. Well we started to get used to it with Melaka queue for foods !

This restaurant shows a very simple design yet a very affordable western cuisine. All the main menus  have all the side dishes like fries, salad,sauces,toast breads. Its all depends on the menu itself.
We are rating this store at 9/10 due to the service is fast !

Nasi Lemak Senibong Johor Bharu

 Nasi Lemak Senibong, Well known local Nasi lemak by the shore of Malaysia and Singapore. This restaurant located 40min away from city of Johor Bharu. It was introduced by some locals we meet in city. We liked how we dine in on top of rumah Papan and underneath is Sea ! Interesting restaurant

Ordered Nasi Lemak Ayam. Given one egg , keropok , and mixed vegetables. It tasted some how special with the sambal (Chili Paste). Cost us only Rm6.50.

Well this is a cool restaurant to check out but the food wasn't interesting as we expected.

It Roo Chicken Chop 'The best Chicken Chop in Town'

 It Roo Cafe. The signage says it all, The Best Chicken Chop in Town ! Its a filled with tourist and local restaurant again. Queue up for about 10min and finally get out seats.

 They do serve other foods like Mix Grilled, Fried Rice, Spaghetti and deserts.

Without doubts we ordered 2 Chicken Chop , 1 with single egg and 1 double eggs.  Topped with Mushroom sauce and Black Pepper

Look at the eggs ! Well its kinda worth it with RM15 we get wedges, salads, eggs, and few sliced cucumber and tomato 

With this price for the chicken we would rate this 8/10 !

After Roost cafe we walked around the street and we saw this container shop is filled up with crowds ! It just looks special where a pop up store in a container serving bubble teas ! We asked for recommendation and they suggested Thai Milk Tea , and Yogurt Pops for Toppings .

No doubt the thai milk tea tasted just exactly like Milk Tea from Thailand. Well with the toppings, Yogurt pops Steve liked it. Its a filled yogurt pops in the drinks. Well its hard to explain it but you should go try it out !

Roost Cafe Johor Bharu

Travelling South of Malaysia, Johor Bharu. We visited this very cool and color filled cafe. Roost Cafe, filled with all recycle product and looks antique and unique in its way. We checked the tripadvisor and the must order menu its their Yogurt Drinks and Noodles !

 This cafe is filled with recycle furniture, they made everything with all the waste resources. It a creative way, Music they played is just so relaxing.

 With the trip Advisor recoomendation , we ordered Chicken noodles a combination of fried chicken breast and noodle with indo mie sauce in it. Its just simply amazing

The yogurt drinks well honestly, nothing really surprise us than the bucket of it. Taste of the yogurt drinks is just okay.

Overall the cafe is special but food is just 50/50, well is a good time to relax over here anyhow.

Ooi Noodle House (Pork Noodle SS15)

 SS15 One and only Pork Noodle. The only restaurant we queue for more than one hour ! Ridiculous ! Well good thing the restaurant have air-cond. Keep us calm to wait that glory pork noodle. Well we ordered a Soup based pork noodle.

Well this taste just amazing ! Everything is well cooked and juicy . A mixture of all pork internal organs and minced pork and topped of with some vegetables. 

We are rating this 6/10 due to we waited for a little too long than expected.

OUG Beef Noodle

Beef Noodle ! Today was the craving of beef noodle. So we came by OUG to find some food that was recommended from our friends that lived nearby. This beef Noodle store is not packed as compare to foods in Melaka.

Its a Wan Tan Mee noodle but mixed with minced beef top of vegetable .

Roti Canai Awang

Waking up about 8a.m today, we went to get a Malaysian Malaccan favorite Roti Canai Stall. Its all filled with locals from any races. We was brought by Aaron as a Malaccan that lives only 5Km from this shop. Roti Canai Awang. Well as usual the lines up for food in melaka, We did for a 10min line for this Roti Canai. 

Restaurant that looks like a house

Well the Roti Canai is thicker than any people did out there with that its crispy ! No doubt we love it as an foreigner. Every part of the roti canai just feels so crispy. With that we ordered their Signature Sotong. Cooked in some soury taste, similiar to asam pedas.

This restaurant is located in front of SK Bukit Beruang. Google the school and you can find this restaurant just opposite of the school.

Pak Putra Restaurant

Back in Melaka again ! After a long drive from Sunway KL. We came out to Melaka famous Naan & Tandoori Chicken restaurant. This location is just behind Jonker Walk where the famous night market in Melaka. We were hungry and we ordered 3 Roti Naan Cheese and 2 Tandoori Chicken. With that,we actually struggled to find a table to sit for 15minute. Its very packed on a weekday night.(friday)

With the cheese naan it tasted so good ! the cheese is just adequate, the Tandoori Chicken is baked just nice and juicy. In less than 10minute we already finish up our foods. Well it comes in a bit pricey but its all worth it !

Jibby & Co is located in Empire Shopping Galery, Subang jaya. This restaurant has really special design that mostly attracted people to come in and feel the Australian style because this cafe had inspired by the Australian Culture.
